Aunt Beth visits!

Beth came to stay with us for a week in September (yes, still slacking in our posts) and we had so much fun! Anna loved spending all day with her aunt, they did lots of fun stuff and played outside a ton! It was so great having Beth here, she always spoils us when she is in town, cooking and cleaning and being a huge help around the house! Thanks for everthing, Beth! We miss you! We also got to see Drew and his girlfriend, Kelly, when Beth was in town, so we had a great time!

Uncle Drew came up for a weekend while Aunt Beth was here. We had so much fun!

So, we have been major slackers when it comes to posting on our blog lately...we've had a lot going on:) We are expecting a little brother or sister for Miss Anna sometime before April 4th. Our house is on the market...we are looking for a little more space and we have been going back and forth to West Lafayette for Purdue games (which have been pathetic, although the few we have been to, we have actually won, we'll see if we can continue that).

But, all in all, we are doing great! Anna is growing like a weed and extremely BUSY! She is saying all sorts of fun things, "roars" when you ask her what a lion says, 'goble, goble' for a turkey and lately is really enjoying saying 'No' which is fun:) She loves the moon and wants to look at it every night, she is just so much fun and has quite the little personality. She loves to give hugs and kisses and LOVES other kids! She's had quite a few new friends born recently...two who are named Cooper, so she now randomly will see a baby and say 'Pooper' (the 'ka' sound is a little tough for her), so that is really funny! At her 15 month check-up she was just over 22 lbs and was 30 in. She thinks Boiler is hilarious and loves to chase her around the house. We are having a great time! I will post some pictures, so you can see how much she is growing!

Anna sees her first horse!

While Daddy and the boys went to the Cardinals game, Mommy, Grandmommy, Aunt Gretchen, Jack & Elizabeth went to see the horses at Ellis Park. Anna was quite excited by the horsies! She got to pet this horse and really liked it! Still working on what a horse says, but she does say what a monky says (ooh, ooh, ooh), a sheep says (baa), a cow says (sounds more like mmmmm, than moo, but you get the drift) and what the pig says (sounds a lot like the monkey, but close enough to oink, oink, oink)!!! She loves animals!

Daddy went to the Cardinals game with Granddad, Uncle Andrew & Uncle Marc, so I thought I should send him off with my Cardinals outfit on! Daddy LOVED it!

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July at Kentucky Lake with John's family. We had SO much fun and Anna loved being with her cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents! She was not a big fan of her lifejacket, but she tolerated it for us, so that was great. It was pretty funny because she really had a hard time moving in it. But it was fun, she even got in the lake with us and seemed to think it was okay:) So, it was a great time! Looking forward to next year!

Anna is OBSESSED with sunglasses! She wants to wear them all the time, then she will take them off and smile at you so big and say 'Hi!' Then she wants them on again. And she loves to look at herself in the mirror wearing them. It is too cute!

Elizabeth came over to play one evening and they both wanted in the chair, so they kept trying to both get it in at the same time, it was hysterical! We gave the girls each a half of an ice cream bar and they both loved it! YUM!!! Anna wasn't messing around!

This is Anna with her new friend, Brody! We went to a baby shower and all she wanted to do was hang around his bouncey seat and say 'BayBay' the entire time. She is obsessed with babies!

Anna's Friend Adrienne!

Anna got to play with her friend Adrienne! Adrienne lives in Texas and the last time we saw her was in September! She was home in Evansville for her first birthday (her birthday is 6 days after Anna's), so we got to exchange gifts and watch the girls play together...it was too funny! Aren't they just too cute?!?!?!

Forgot to mention that Anna now has 6 teeth! 4 on top and 2 on bottom!

Anna is 1!

Well, we had a great birthday party for Miss Anna over the weekend! She had her party on Saturday so everyone from out of town could be there. It was so much fun! She LOVES people, so loved having all the people there to play with and see and she loved having other kids there too. She is obsessed with saying baby (baybay) to any kid that is around her age and younger, she says it to her own pictures and any kind of picture she sees (magazine, tv, and in real life). It is too funny. She also says 'bye-bye' and waves at her self, we are working on blowing kisses, she puts her hand to her mouth but leaves it there:). She says hi, mama, dada and makes a 'beh/ba' sound at Boiler, birds, ball, but Beth thinks (and we let her) that she is trying to say Beth and she says 'oh' whenever she does and 'uh oh' and when she gets excited about something, she'll point at it and say 'oh'! She is cruising around all the furniture and will stand by herself for a bit before she plops back on the ground. She got a walker toy for her birthday that she is using now to walk around, so I'm sure before long, she will be doing it on her own! She loves to read, take everything in and loves to point things out in books (she points out the little mouse in Goodnight Moon on every color page, she loves it), she is brillian (not that we are biased or anything). She is officially on regular milk now and her favorite vegetable is broccolli (weird), her favorite fruits are strawberries and blueberries and she loves ice cream, which might stem from her mommy eating it everyday while she was pregnant:) She loves to give hugs and snuggle and will lean over so you will give her a kiss, it's so sweet! Just wanted to share some of Anna with you all! And I know that there is so much more we want to share, but we'll save it for the next entry. She has been such a blessing and a joy for us and we are still trying to figure out where the year went. Hard to believe that a year ago, she wasn't even a week old and we were just trying to figure out what being a mommy and a daddy was all about. We are so lucky to have such a sweet little girl and she is SO lucky to have so many people who love her so much, that was the best thing about her party on Saturday. Having so many people there who love her!!! Well, just wanted to give a little update for you all. She is doing great! We go for her 1 year check-up on the 23rd, so we'll let you know how that goes!
